Need sleep

So we have been in this apartment for over two months now and I don't think I have yet gotten a full nights sleep without being woken at least once a night.

Maybe its getting older, I have never had sleep problems, I have had the odd night where I couldn't fall asleep sure, usually down to drinking coffee to late in the day or it being too hot stuff like that. But in the most part once I am asleep I would stay asleep all night.
In my teens I even slept through a small earthquake, and have been known to still be asleep with the clock radio alarm blaring away!

Now the slightest thing and I am awake!

The woman upstairs (who I like a lot, so I don't want to have to say anything to her) is sooo noisy...

I know we all have to walk around its to be expected but I don't think that woman ever sits down! She also has two kids who run about and jump down from the kitchen counter top, wear roller skates on the kitchen floor etc. This I can live with but I think maybe the sound insulation between the floors is non existent. Last night I could even hear her cat scratching in its litter box!

The worst though is when she uses her treadmill (in the bedroom) before 5am, which thankfully is not that often but I just lie there listening to it, tying to block it out.

Ahh the joys of apartment living....

Change of subject: I read today that "according to Courtney Love" she has been approached by the producer of American Idol to become a judge on there.
Speculation is that she will replace Paula Abdul in light of her recent TV interviews where she appeared to be slurring.

Hmmm lets see Paula may or may not have a drinking problem (who cares) but Courtney Love is not exactly the most stable of people there are to choose from is she ?
Added to the fact that she often sounds like an animal in pain when singing who the heck is she to judge other people ?
