Living in the real world ?

So this morning I had the exciting job of removing left over glue from WP's tailgate. We took the existing graphics off last night (and there were a lot).
So today armed with Scotchbrite pads and nail polish remover I set to work on the living room floor. Of course the tailgate had been removed from the truck first....

So to keep me occupied the of course the TV had to be on, daytime TV is crap to say the least so I settled on MTV's My super sweet 16. Which is basically spoilt brats demanding that their parents shell out thousands of dollars on over the top bashes and gifts.

What the hell is the world coming too, these girls are downright bitches, what a shock they are going to get when they leave their homes and try to find a man who will put up with them.
One girl demanded a black on black Lexus convertible, which she ended up getting along with a diamond encrusted Rolex. This was as well as a huge party, a beach photo shoot where she, inspired by Victoria's secrets fashion shoot donned fluffy angel wings and all.
The best part about this were the tears and foot stamping that ensued because her boyfriend had just dumped her and the wind was blowing a gale during the photo shoot.
She then purchased (or rather her mother did) a sexy belly dancers outfit so she could perform at her party in hope of getting her man back ( it worked , he wanted her back but she said no thanks).
There was more foot stamping and tears over the centerpieces her mother had chosen for the tables they were not good enough.
The mothers excuse was they cost $3000 less then the others, to which little princess insisted that in that case she wanted the 3 grand in cash!

Next up the rappers daughter, not slim, had bigger boobs at 16 then me, but a in your face type of girl who's stipulation for her guests was if they did not show up with a gift or money then they were not getting in!
Not so many tantrums although he mother did call off the bash at one point when little angel brought home a bad report card.
Little angel was flown into her bash by helicopter, also had a photo shoot and felt the need to change outfits 5 times . No car this time but her gift was a diamond tiara which in her words "cost more then 3 cars"

I fear for the next generations men, and women really I do. Us women get a bad enough name now, visit any personals sites and see the amount of men out there looking for "non American" women. They say they don't want American women because they are all demanding bitches who expect to be treated like royalty, takers not givers.

I have to say I cannot give my opinion on this because I hardly know any American women but of those I do know yes there are a few divas around but then I know perfectly nice women as well.

The trouble is compacted with all these reality shows that we all love to watch, look at the women on them , all bitches. Americas next top model has them, bad girls of course has them.
Hardly an example for us women to follow really yet a lot of us do.

Wow this sounds anti-woman, its not there are some total jerks out there too all I am saying its shows (and parents) like these that give women such a bad image.

There are positive aspects to these shows as well for one it makes us nice women feel good to know we are not so bad after all. It may even make the men we are with think that too, who knows.

One thing I know for certain is that if I ever uttered the words "I'm a princess so treat me like one" to WP he would either laugh in my face or slap me around it.
