Not a great start to the year...
I have "misplaced" my winter template. Looked all over for it, fear I have deleted it, over the last few weeks I have moved that many files of mine from the back up drive to the main drive , to the external drive and back again I think its gotten lost forever.
Oh well I had to get rid of the Christmas one and as the weather is still so mild this one will do for now....Until inspiration hits me anyway.
I hope that everyone had a great New Year, we were in bed asleep I might add, I asked WP to wake me up if the fireworks woke him up( He is always up and down all night anyway). I vaguely recall him kissing me at 1am.
The day was spent vegging out in front of the James Bond marathon on TV.
I did switch channel for Fatal Attraction - I love this movie, its one of my faves and for once it was shown uncut complete with nipples and bare behinds.
WP won some tickets to the hockey game on Saturday night- YAY!
Club level suite no less! So off we went ( forgot to take the camera) it was not full but pretty packed, his company had laid on spinach dip, toasted ravioli and all the soda you could wish for. There were maybe half a dozen other people from his company there too, I grabbed a seat in the front row and settled down to watch.
When Michele Rausch (?) sung the national anthem before the game it was quite moving to hear everybody cheer as she sang the last two lines. you guys are so lucky to have a great national anthem, unlike the UK's which most of the country hate. Lets take a moment to compare the two...
Now the Uk's...
Hmm see what I mean ?
Anyhow back to the game, it was great St Louis Blues won 2-0. It was not as loud as I had thought it would be, I thought that it would be more like a football (soccer) match where the crowd sings and chants throughout, there was some chanting and of course cheering but nothing like I expected. But they did play some great music over the speakers.
WP went off in serch of beer during the first intermission, he was gone for most of the second innings ( I know thats the wrong word but whatever). He returned with two plastic cups of beer and a little tray of nachos and cheese.
Cost $21.75!
$8 beer! and it wasn't that good let me tell you, in fact I think it was probably Anheuser Busch seconds.
But I had a great time. Would I go again ? Yes and have my fingers crossed that they offer seats for baseball games, now that would be great if he won them!
Trivia: I was a member of the school hockey team in my youth, I played position Right Back. I wore my little navy short pleated skirt the long socks with my shin pads inside. Hockey can be pretty violent when them sticks get swung.
yes sir those were the days......

Oh, say can you see by the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars thru the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars thru the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?

Now the Uk's...
God Save the Queen
God save our gracious Queen,
Long live our noble Queen,
God save the Queen!
Send her victorious,
Happy and glorious,
Long to reign over us,
God save the Queen!
God save our gracious Queen,

God save the Queen!
Send her victorious,
