A ploy by Google ?
Yesterday blogger was "experiencing server issues" again for a few hours, no surprise there then.
I was trying to work, trying to complete an oder I had for a blog design everything was ready to go but thanks to blogger it had to wait.
In between trying to sign into blogger I thought I would fiddle around in my Beta blogger account, I set one up when they first decided everyone with a Gmail acount wanted (without being asked) a free Google Beta Blogger account too.
At the time HTML customisation was not an option, apart from the new "drag n drop" layout.
Now I find it is an option, for want of something better to do I modified the "Scribe" template they offer - you know the one, old parchment, horrible dark brown background.
Here is the result. ( I dont think there is a way to include sidebar header images, , its one of the things I am looking into at present)
Now I know it is an option I plan on trying (learning) how to (if in deed it can be done) incorporate my own templates into Beta.
I think it will be a long hard road with lots of tears and headaches but we will see.
So it can be done, although someone pointed out to me it would be "dis-honest" to alter someone elses template and offer them for sale (or even free). of course I knew that but my question was to whether I could Customise an already free blogger template and just claim credit for the images I created, not the code.
But in the meantime if anyone was stopping the switch to Beta simply because of the crappy templates then I can help you out with images to "do it yourself"
But it struck me as very "convenient" of regular blogger to be down so much lately when the new Beta blogger is up and running. I am beginning to wonder if Google are doing it intentionally so more people switch over to it. When in fact they are losing people altoghether to wordpress, typepad and even Ben has moved onto to something called Mog. Which reminds me of Meg and Mog hee.
Btw I am the only person who's spellcheck is not working ?
EDIT: LMAO I just checked my page stats ( vain I know) and I have a new Google search "how to determine if wife wants threesome" Hee. Good luck to the guy on getting that one to fly..
